Thank you for being able to raise enough money for Sky School camp and allowing us to only have to pay $20. Your fundraising let me have a second year of fun, science experiments and being able to meet people I didn’t even know about. Serenity M.
This is a real opportunity to be here and I’m here with my friends. Thank you. Trinity, 7.
I can’t wait until next year. Yada, 9.

My favorite night activity is conquering my fears of bugs. Olivia, 9.
Camp gave me the opportunity to interact with kids who understand what it really means to be part of a military family. We often travel and have to relocate many times even though we are in school. Making new friends is hard when you don’t know how long you will be in one place. Other kids don’t understand how hard it can be at times and can’t relate to my experiences. Being with other military kids this week who understand me and who have gone through similar things has been great. Camp Corral scholarship recipient.
I had a lot of fun this week and don’t want to go home. I like mostly everything here except the bugs. The pool was really fun with the music and toys. The counselors are amazing: Grace Kira and Bobby. Horseback riding was amazing!!!! I’ve never been here before and I want to come back next year. I also like seeing the abandoned cabins. It was really fun this week and thank you very much. Ariana, 12.
I want to say thank you for the camp scholarship. This was my first time going to a camp in the mountains. I made so many friends that were nice. There were so many things that were fun. Some of my favorite things were shooting BB guns, archery and learning how to lower and raise a flag. I had so much fun and hope I get to go next year and meet more nice people like Mrs. Katie. Sincerely, Omar M.
I want to thank you all for paying for the trip to Sky School. If the camp had been more expensive I would have never gone. The camp allowed me to see how some scientists work, allowed me to work with them and allowed me to learn. Sincerely, Abraham R.
Thank you so much for letting me be able to have such a fun experience at Sky School for only $20. I had so much fun with my friends. The morning and night hikes are something I’ll never forget. Thank you for your kind and generous donation! I deeply appreciate it. It’s because of you I was able to learn so much more about science and learn about myself. My favorite parts of this camp were the hikes and all the laughs and memories I made with my friends and the mentors. Sincerely, Mateo U.
Greetings from Camp Whispering Pines:
We've had an amazing summer with our campers up in the pines! Our campers experienced nature in new ways and got to know the fun creatures at camp. One of our favorite activities of the summer was a presentation from our camp intern about the different spiders at camp.
After we learned about the spiders, we got to go on a "scavenger hunt" looking for different types of spiders and webs! Another activity we loved this summer was time at the art shack. Campers made all kinds of creations from mermaid hair clips to friendship bracelets to recycled-paper journals. We loved seeing the innovation that Girl Scouts bring to their art projects.
Our Counselor-in-Training program was another highlight of the summer. This year's CIT cohort was large and full of high-school-age campers looking to be leaders at camp. The CITs planned all camp activities such as our party night and closing campfires. They also spent time observing and assisting activities with our younger campers — much to the delight of both groups.
It's always amazing to see their growth throughout the week, see the connections they make with each other and the whole camp community. We loved getting to see all of our campers get more comfortable in our mountain environment, make new friends, and try new things throughout the week. Thank you for your support in helping us get more girls to camp and making a difference in their lives. Erin “Acorn” Allen
